About this breed's data: One AKC standard covers all three varieties, split by height only (Toy <=10 in; Mini >10-15 in; Standard >15 in). Per-variety weights (Toy ~5-7, Mini 12-20, Standard 45-70 lb) from Hill's. Default shown is Standard.

How we calculate this

Poodle questions

How big does a Poodle get?
A full-grown Poodle's adult weight depends on its variety: about 5–7 lb (Toy), 12–20 lb (Miniature), or 45–70 lb (Standard). (The Miniature is often called a "mini" Poodle.) Because the variant makes such a big difference, use the calculator above with your puppy's current age and weight for a tighter estimate.
When does a Poodle stop growing?
Most Poodles reach their full adult size around 15 months, in line with large-size dogs. They do most of their growing in the first 6 months, then fill out more slowly.
Are these Poodle size estimates accurate?
Based on an official breed standard or cross-checked veterinary/registry sources. Estimates are typically within 10–20% for purebreds; designer and mixed breeds vary more. We always show a range and clamp it to this breed's known adult size.
